Due to the call I sent out late in 2009 for everyone out there to let their creative juices flow, and write a poem and send it to me for placement on my Blog, this has been the fantastic response.  Thank you to all that sent in their poems, and the lucky winner of the competition is PAMELA MEDCALF, who will receive a Tree Painting, as soon as I'm inspired to paint it!  Congratulations Pamela!

I AM WHO I AM

I see nothing as good or bad.  It just is
I am what I am, what I came to be
To be free
To be joy
To be me

I live life to the fullest
From a place of fullness
I see what I see
I am free to be me
Not to judge.  Just to see

What I see is the good in you
The beautiful you
You are perfect in ever way
Everyday!
Just be yourself, like me
Be free to be me

Let go of your insecurities
In heaven, there are none
No reasons to fear or to care for such things
We see all of you as perfect, in everyway

Why not see yourself as we do
Pure love
Pure light
Pure joy!

Go on!
Enjoy it
Find the stillness within
Soak it up
Discover who you really are
The essence of the divine.

LEAVING THE NUMBNESS

Oh how wonderful it is not to feel numb anymore
To let and feel your spirit soar
The cupboards and floorboards that once gleamed clean
Don't seem so important anymore
To reach new heights you never thought possible among the confusion and humdrum
of everyday life

You've done your nurturing and that's all very well
Until one day you realise there's got to be something else
You start to search your inner self and realise there is something else
You find a human being full of love
Ready to give but not sure where it's coming from
It's an essence of your being and when expressed
Gives you the best feelings you can ever get

There's a lot to learn, be wise and kind to fellow human beings without judgement or revenge
in any way
Not to be a wallflower, but to feel empowered with knowledge and have a say
You know you will never be numb again

To see the beauty in everyday things, to feel connected to every part of the universe, to be part of
the vibration is a truly spiritual way to be
And if it were possible you would see that we are all part of a whole, like a cup of water taken from the sea

We are all born with generous loving spirit but things happen along the way and we can spend a
whole lifetime trying to get back to the beginning again
But it's a journey; our own unique life which we are meant to share with others of our like.

LIFE IN SPIRIT

As you pass from this realm into Spirit,
please don't be afraid for you'll see,
there's no pain or negative feelings
and you'll be as you've wanted to be.
Love that's pure with no thoughtless conditions,
upliftment and peace of mind.
A blissful joy will enfold you
and unlimited knowledge you'll find.
So be compassionate, kind and giving,
what you give out is returned it's true.
Make the most of your mortal existence.

JUST TONIGHT

Just tonight,
I'll drop my defenses
and all my efforts.

Just tonight,
I'll float in the peace of the present,
relax, and let my fears come.

Just tonight,
I will not resist
as my bones are tied to a stake
and sinews burnt by fiery thoughts.

Just tonight,
I will observe my battered frame
and it's haunting cries,
which only hush with my retreat.

Just tonight,
I will reside inside my heart.
Within these walls, solitude rules,
and I swim in cool, rainforest pools.
In here, only God's Love touches me,
and I smile in the face of adversity.

THANK YOU

Your presence has been a catalyst, our souls wanting to meet,
You've brought something back into my life, and left me more complete.

When talking with you I've been inspired, to re-connect to me,
I've been so caught up in the 'roles' of teacher, wife and Mummy!

Closed and protected, strong and safe, is the facade I have hidden behind,
It's been torn down, exposing me to a man with a gentle mind.

You've guided me so carefully without conscious knowledge or will.
Your hands on my shoulders supporting me when I felt so vulnerable.

I've honoured the artist hidden deep within, with a creative space to play,
I've discovered my heart and felt its joy, when exploring who I am.

I'm learning to reach my feminine side, full of feelings unexpressed.
I'm discovering ways to communicate and for that I feel truly blessed.

On another plane you handed me a turquoise moon and sun,
The combination symbolising two sides becoming one.

I feel the desire to acknowledge you and thank you for crossing my path,
It's been an experience that may end today or be a friendship meant to last.
